iba.CONFECTIONERY TEC AREA

Under the motto ‘Confectionery meets bakery – Planning. Producing. Controlling.’, the iba.CONFECTIONERY TEC AREA supported by ZDS Die Süßwarenakademie has set itself the task of providing information on current trends. The focus is on ingredients, process technologies and proven best practices. Particular emphasis is placed on the finishing of fine baked goods and the processing technologies for chocolate in fillings, glazes and decorations. All of this is done with the overarching goal of increasing the added value of fine baked goods in particular.
In collaboration with our partner ZDS, an area is being created in Hall 9, B11 where you can exchange ideas with a wide range of exhibitors and find out about the latest technologies.
Exhibitors
You can expect to meet specialists from the confectionery industry who will provide you with a wealth of information on the finishing of baked goods, ingredients, process technology and the processing technology of chocolate.
You can see exactly which exhibitors will be exhibiting in the area from March 2025.
About ZDS – The Confectionery Academy
The Zentralfachschule der Deutschen Süßwarenschaft e.V. (ZDS), also known as the Confectionery Academy, is a globally recognised institution for training and further education in the confectionery industry. With a wide range of training programmes, seminars and apprenticeships, it covers all relevant areas of confectionery production, quality assurance and product development. Thanks to its close cooperation with companies in the confectionery and food industry and an international network of experts, the ZDS is a leading address for professionals and companies.
The ZDS is divided into three core areas:
ZDS Member Services
The ZDS Member Services brings together over 250 companies from the global confectionery and food industry. Members benefit from the use of technical facilities, support in product development and individual training and consulting services.
ZDS Training and Further Education Centre
The ZDS offers unique training and further education opportunities, including programmes such as ‘Specialist in Food Technology’, ‘Confectionery Technologist’ and ‘Industrial Foreman’. Vocational students live in a boarding school during the block teaching and are catered for on site.
ZDS Seminar Service
The ZDS Seminar Service enables skilled workers worldwide to further educate themselves in seminars, workshops and congresses. International experts and the ZDS team impart knowledge that forms the basis for innovations in the confectionery industry.
