A very special joint project awaited trade visitors and exhibitors at iba 2023 in Hall B1 (Stand B1.410): the iba.CONFECTIONERY TEC AREA supported by ZDS Die Süßwaren-Akademie. The area brought together important players from the baking and confectionery industry and brought together the services and expertise of a wide range of exhibitors.

The Zentralfachschule der Deutschen Süßwarenschaft e.V. (ZDS), also known as Die Süßwaren-Akademie functions as the world's leading training and education center in the confectionery industry. The Academy offers a wide panel of training programs, seminars and apprenticeships focusing on various aspects of confectionery production, quality assurance and product development. ZDS works closely with companies in the confectionery and food industries and has an international network of experts.
