More than just sweet: Caramelised sugar syrups are characterized by a pure caramel flavour that, depending on the syrup, can range from mildly aromatic to pleasantly bold. They are produced by the gentle heating of sugar and are ideal for refining the flavour of food. Caramelised sugar syrups are classified as food and not as colouring agents.

Our caramelised sugar syrups and their uses

Our high-quality caramel products vary in sweetness, flavour intensity, and stability in alcohol and acid. Food industry producers use our caramelised sugar in a wide array of applications – in confectionery and pralines, for example, but also in bakery goods, spirits, and dairy products. For organic products, we produce a caramelised sugar syrup based on organic sugar that complies with the EC regulation on organic food production.
