Eglfing, Germany (May 6, 2025) – The future of baking is automated! When it comes to automation and digitalization in the baking sector, Convotherm, part of the world's largest manufacturer of professional kitchen equipment Welbilt and a member of the Ali Group, is setting new standards. At this year's iba 2025, the company will present its AI-driven combi oven solutions for bakeries and snack shops for the first time, with a focus on ConvoSense, the intelligent assistance system for fully automated cooking and baking. The world's leading trade fair for bakeries, confectioneries, and snacks will take place from May 18 to 22, 2025, in Düsseldorf. Convotherm will be located in Hall 13, Stand D42.

Convotherm is a global leader in AI-driven cooking and baking with its AI-based technology ConvoSense, bringing artificial intelligence into everyday bakery operations. The AI-supported food recognition (Optical Cooking) automatically analyzes the inserted product and starts the appropriate program without any manual intervention. This reduces training effort, minimizes sources of error, and ensures that all baked goods are always prepared with consistent best results and maximum efficiency, whether in system catering, branch operations, or snack businesses.

At the fair, Convotherm will also present the new mini pro, which is also available with ConvoSense technology. The mini pro is the world's most compact (49.8 cm wide) and at the same time the most intelligent 1/1 GN combi oven in its class. It combines space-saving award-winning design with professional features such as solid-to-liquid cleaning technology, digital networking, and Optical Cooking with ConvoSense, which radically simplifies the operation and preparation of products. The mini pro also impresses with speed, precision, and consistent quality, even with protein-rich snack components such as meat, fish, or egg dishes.

Also live at the stand is the powerful maxx pro BAKE ConvoSense. It boasts around 28% less energy consumption, up to 18% shorter baking times, and 11% faster heating phases compared to conventional devices. The intelligent baking and cooking processes ensure approximately 30% higher result quality compared to manually controlled ovens, while significantly relieving the staff.

"The iba is the ideal platform for us to present our solutions for bakeries and snack shops to a wide professional audience and to show how ConvoSense can make baking processes smarter, more efficient, and more economical," says Claus Pedersen, Managing Director of Convotherm. "With the new mini pro and the maxx pro BAKE, we are introducing two powerful product families with ConvoSense technology at iba, which are ideal for bakeries, chain stores, and snack shops that value quality, efficiency, and future viability."
