Opportunity Munich: What you can expect from iba 2027
In 2027, iba will return to Munich - the traditional venue for the world's leading trade fair for the bakery and confectionery trades. The Bavarian capital offers tried-and-tested conditions, an excellent infrastructure and numerous synergies for exhibitors, trade visitors and partners. It is not for nothing that Munich is considered the heart of the German baking industry.
✔ Strong roots in the southern German bakery trade:
The bakery trade has a long and important tradition in Bavaria. The state guild association for the Bavarian bakery trade, based in Munich, is one of the most influential associations in Germany - with a high level of expertise and strong links to the local industry.
✔ Central exhibition centre with an international reputation:
Messe München is one of the most modern exhibition centres in Europe and is easily accessible - whether by train, car or via Munich Airport. The city offers first-class hotels, catering and infrastructure to make your visit to the trade fair pleasant and efficient.
✔ International reach and strong appeal:
Munich is an important business centre with high international visibility. Here, iba benefits from a high number of international trade visitors who regularly travel from over 150 countries. In addition, the proven location in southern Germany enables a strong presence of the DACH region.
BAKING NEW WAYS
The different players and innovative concepts from the baking industry are what make iba so special. As part of the multimedia campaign "Baking New Ways", these were made visible until the event in May 2025. In addition, industry players shared their personal stories. The focus was on a central message: iba is a driving force in the international industry and, together with all the protagonists from the market, is constantly reinventing itself to make progress possible.
Many were part of this valuable gathering in 2025, familiarised themselves with the advantages of Düsseldorf as a location and met the industry players.
