Munich is a central hub for European rail transport. From Munich "Hauptbahnhof" or "Ostbahnhof" you can reach the exhibition centre by underground in approx. 20 or 10 minutes respectively.
From the main railway station, take the underground line U2 in the direction of Messestadt West to the Munich exhibition centre. Get off at the ‘Messestadt West’ stop.

By car
Messe München is located directly on the A94 motorway. You can reach the exhibition centre via the Feldkirchen-West exit (exit no. 6) or the München-Riem exit (exit no. 5).

Using the navigation system to the Munich Trade Fair Centre
Please enter "An der Point" as the destination address in the navigation system. Depending on which navigation system you use, you will find the exhibition grounds in the category "Exhibition grounds", "Exhibition centre" or under the keyword "Trade fair". Some navigation systems also allow you to select the West and North entrances to the exhibition centre.

By airport shuttle bus
By airport shuttle bus Visitors and exhibitors at iba can use the shuttle bus from Munich Airport to the entrance of the exhibition grounds. The bus stop is located between the West Entrance and the Northwest Entrance.
The shuttle bus stops at the airport are located directly in front of Terminal 1 MAC (Munich Airport Centre) and Terminal 2. The shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes and is subject to a charge. Prices:
- One way: 11,00€
- Return journey: 17,00€
By plane
From Munich Airport you can reach the Munich exhibition centre by S-Bahn, U-Bahn or taxi. Information on the flight schedule and transport connections to the airport can be found here. If you are travelling from the airport in a hire car, follow the signs to "Messe".
By public transport:
The S-Bahn station for lines S1 and S8 is located directly below the central area of Munich Airport. The S-Bahn trains to the city centre run every 10 minutes. You can choose from the following routes:
Route S8 / U5 / U2
Take the S8 to Ostbahnhof. Change to the U5 (direction Neuperlach Süd), one stop to Innsbrucker Ring. Continue on the same platform with the U2 to the Messestadt West stop. Journey time approx. 45 min.
Route S8 / U2
Take the S8 to Hauptbahnhof. From there take the U2 to Messestadt West station. Journey time approx. 60 min.
Route S1 / U2
Take the S1 to Feldmoching or Hauptbahnhof. Change to the U2 to Messestadt West station. Journey time approx. 65 min.

By taxi: The one-way journey from the airport to the exhibition centre takes approx. 35 minutes, depending on traffic. Messe München and the Munich taxi companies have set the fare at € 85.00 all year round (as of 2023). This offer only applies to the shortest route in kilometres between the airport and the trade fair centre.
